        he bakes. it’s a challenge for him, to try to manipulate ingredients into insane, unlikely, delicious concoctions without using his powers. if it burns, it burns, and then it’s his job to make it work, even with burnt spots here and there. it’s kind of like helping his father create, back when the world was still just a lump of clay on a potter’s wheel: you slap some things together, see if they work, & if they don’t, you make them work. the recipe for the twelve-pound snickers bar? helped along by divine inspiration, baby.

         also, little known fact: he writes songs/music. yeah, maybe he never really got around to tooting the horn daddy gave him for christmas, but over the course of his time on earth, he learned to play every musical instrument in existence, and though he favors the guitar, that’s not about to stop him from ripping out a homemade sonata on the piano or an impromptu mambo that spans three octaves on the trumpet (not possible, you say? yeah, keep telling yourself that).
