unfortunately for Sam, Gabe parrots back words constantly, and Dean is so not concerned with watching his language around the babies all that much!

even more unfortunately, Gabriel has an uncanny knack for picking up exactly those words Sam doesn’t want him to learn :’)

Cas only starts talking far later on (but instead of starting like Gabe (repeating words he hears) he one day during breakfast starts dropping entire sentences (grammatically sound as well!) He is far more sensitive to disapproval so he steers mostly clear of swear words. He does make up his own (the infamous ‘assbutt’ comes to mind; both Dean and Sam cracked up incredulously after hearing that one and it’s been used fondly ever since)
